Rich [8D]
Just two. A low end aztec for wide area coverage, and an aztec a470. Hoping to get either a badger or iwata soon.
Used to have 3, 2 Badgers and a Wren but gave the Wren away to a modeler who had none.
I have a lot of airbrushes. A badger 100lg, 155,150, Sotar,T&C 4000,5000, Paasche AB, Holbein Y-1, Iwata HP-C,HP-B, Bearair C-5, H&S Evolution, Aerogragh super 63 A and E model, EFBE artist1,EFBE B1,EFBE C, 3 EFBE model A’s two of which have beed refurbished/customized and rebuilt by me. Made a few new parts for them. I haved owned many more over the years, I have to say I like the EFBE’s the best but I mostly do illustration work with them. Yes, I do use all of them.
John
John,
Wow! That’s quite a collection. [:0]
Very cool. [8D]
How’s that Holbein? They look real nice. They are German correct?
Mike
Have 3: Iwata HP-C, Badger 155 and Tamiya.
Hey, any chance you could give me any info and/or tips on using an airbrush for illustration? I’m looking to get started doing some of that. I have an Iwata Revolution CR, but could upgrade to an illustration brush if I need to.
Two Binks Wren mmodel A’s. and Aztek 470, and two other single action Azteks I acquired. Two compressors as well. I have a maniforld machined out of a block of aluminum on one of the compressors with commercial quick connect hardware hooked up to it. I have the male end hardware on the airbrush tubing(one set per airbrush) so I can change them out quickly. The manifold allows me to run three simultaneously. Comes n handy on those multi-hue camo schemes and paint jobs.
Just the two.
Badger 200NH[tup]
Had it about a year now, dead easy to use.
Omni4000[:D]
Brand new and only used twice. Looking forward to playing.
Karl
Just one: Tamiya HG Trigger. Does everything I ask of it, without a complaint. A reliable, versatile, easy-to-use AB.
Unless you paint things outside of modeling or actually collect them, I would think you would only need two
If plastic modeling only, why would one need so many other airbrushes? And those of you who have 4 or more, do you still use them all?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just realized a reason to have so many airbrushes. It’s to make sure you can help anyone with their airbrush! The more you have, the better your chance of having “personal experiience” with the airbrush [:D]
the paashe H collects dust
the badger 200 collects dust.
the omni 5000 collects dust but occasionally is used.
the iwata hp-c is used extensively.
the iwata hp-cs has not arrived as of yet but i plan to use it extensively.
im just an airbrush junkie and if i sold any of the above it would only be the 2 single actions as i just dont see a use for them in my modelling future. later.
Seven airbrushes tottal. The three that I acutually had framed are: Aztek A470, Badger 200, Paasche VL. Actually airbrushes I use include: Iwata Revolution HP-CR(general purpose work), Eclipse HP-CS(detail and camo work) and HP-C (.3mm tip for minute detailing, shading and special effects). Also a Eclipse HP-BCS (for large models like a B-52 etc. requiring more paint)
Hey plasticmod992, you still selling the hp-c?
anywho, i hate my azteks, sold one of them yesterday for $30 bucks
