How long to cure water based vallejo acrylic before applying lacquer clear finish?

I am working on some 1/72 scale Japanese tanks, using Vallejo paints. I want to apply a semi-gloss lacquer coat

How long does acrylic paint have to cure before overcoating it with lacquer?

I try to wait 24 hours or so and have seen no issues. A quick google search turns up a anywhere from a couple of hours to several days. Anymore I try to airbrush when humidity is low which lets the paint dry quicker. It can also depend on the paint as I’ve found some colors are thick (like white) and take longer to dry. A hair dryer (low heat!) can quicken drying. Sometimes I put a part in the sun to dry.

I’ve enjoyed working with vallejo acrylics with few issues.

Depends heavily on the ambient humidity. If in a more humid work area they are going to need longer, while a dry climate will need less. The barest minimum would be at least 24 hours, 36-48 to be sure.
