Hi Everyone
How do you tranport your motorcyles? I have a plastic tub with foam that is cut to fit the wheels, but from what I discovered tonight the foam (*green soft foam like you use in furniture) is reacting with the Tamiya paints o my models. Now I know why they have not done well in the last two showings!
How do you move yours around without knocking off the turn signals and mirrors?
Thanks
David
I too use a plastic tub with very low density foam in the bottom - but instead of having slots cut out for the wheels, I prefer to roll flannel strips onto loose cylinders and place them into the tub, creating a “vee” for the motorcycle to “stand” in.
The flannel won’t scratch the paintwork and is soft enough to have a little “give” if the tub gets shaken around.
I’ve never broken off a footpeg or a mirror using this method, like I have when using harder foam.
Good luck.
Thanks for the quick reply!
Looks like im headed to the fabric store for some flannel, Makes sense, I can keep what I have and use the flannel to prevent chafing and reaction.
thanks again
David
