How do you move an SC-1000?

With one of these !

This is the resin bomb sled that came in Verlinden’s detail set for the Ar 234B. It’s one solid piece of resin, and BEAUTIFULLY cast !
I painted it with a mixture of enamels. The base coat was a mix of MM Wood and RAF Earth Brown. One wash was a mix of that color with black for the shadows between the boards. Additional washes of Dark Earth mixed with MM Leather and Insignia Red provided the color variations in the wood. The sled was drybrushed with MM Wood after dullcoating. The nails, nuts, and bolts were painted with a mix of MM Steel & Flat Black, and drybrushed with Steel. Areas around the nails & bolts received a blackened brown wash.

This will be displayed with my finished Ar 234, with the bomb on it. The casting of this part is so nice, and it takes washes & drybrushes so well That I had to post pics of it without the bomb.

My Ar 234 is moving forward, and has been decalled. I will be applying the washes Wednesday, so I may be finished within the week.
Thanks for letting me share the pics with you !

Looks very good. I am anxiously awaiting the finished product.

Mate, that’s amazing. It looks like real wood. It’ll be a shame to cover it up with the bomb. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks yardbird and pingtang !

It seems funny to get excited about a single piece of resin, but the casting of this piece is so nice. The bolts on the sides are even at different positions !

Thanks again !

Looks great Pix. Almost real.

Regards, Rick

That’s just one piece? Looks great! I’m sure your paint job had a lot to do with bringing it to life.

One word: “wow”

Looks very realistic. Good job

That is really nice

Thanks Rick, Brian, Jeff, and John !

Brian - yep. Just one piece o’ resin. Washes and drybrushing did the trick. One of the nicest pieces of resin I’ve ever used !

Thanks again !

dang, that thing looks great ! i especially like the worn look on the sides [:)]
