How would someone harden the Tires for the Humvee kits from Tamiya Humvee, alos has someone seen Gion, he hasent been on the forms latly, and I was looking for some addvice from Him on some projects.

Oh, I dunno, I suppose that you could try one of the following:
- Send them through Humvee Tire Boot camp-The trouble with time method is that they might want to stay for life and not come back home. [:-^]
- Dip them in either liquid Oxygen or Nitrogen-The trouble with this method is that if you drop them while frozen, they can shatter, and will return to supleness after returning to room temp. Also these products are very dangerous to handle.[yuck]
- Expose them to typical inner-city parking lot conditions, that is, ozone, heat, and direct sunlight (works for regular car tires all the time). The trouble is someone might steal them off your car while they are seasoning (this also happens a lot). Also if you leave them too long, they get dry rot, crack and begin to fall apart, as junk yard tires do. [V]
- Use your “soft tires” as a mold and cast some out of resin (Hobby Lobby has a kit for doing this). Of course, you will not be able to “pop” them on and off the rims, so you might consider creating a “flat spot” in each tire before casting them.
- Search for someone or some old chap that has some hard vinyl tires for sale or trade.
Personally I would try numbers 4 or 5, as they involve the least amount of risk [;)]

Can’t help you with the first question, but as for Gino he moved recently which is probably why he hasn’t been around. Hopefully he’ll be back soon.
You could try putting a fill of silicone caulking in the bulk of the tire and leaving the rim bead flexible to allow you to slip them on the rims??..[8D]
