A friend recently asked me to build a kit for him, a Valom Fisher P-75A in 1/72 scale. I don’t typically work in 1/72 scale, stuff is just too small for me to work with, but I couldn’t refuse my friend. For those of you not familiar with the kit, it is a short-run kit with plastic, resin, P.E., and a piece of film for the instrument panel. Like we all do, I’m starting with the cockpit on this build. The instrument panel is a piece of plastic with the film sandwiched between the plastic and P.E… How do I attach the pieces neatly? I’m thinking CA glue or maybe white glue for the three parts. Any suggestions?

If you have some Future or its modern-day equivalent, that works great as an adhesive for these kinds of jobs. Any errors you make with placement of the Future will be totally invisible. CA and even white glue aren’t optically transparent, and CA may even cause fogging on the film.
You don’t want to fog the plastic so if you use CA only apply it in very minute quantities and only where absolutely necessary .To further protect the clear plastic ,dunk it in Pledge Revive it (Future)and allow it to dry prior to assembly .
Thanks, Eaglecash867, I hadn’t thought of that. I have a bottle of Future/Pledge. I’ll do that and we’ll see what happens. First I need to trim the film to fit.

No problem, Frank. I have also found that painting the flat plastic backing panel with white helps the instruments pop a little more. If you happen to have a set of colored Sharpies, you can even add color to the back of the film in appropriate places before putting everything together.
The Pledge worked really well for an adhesive, attaching the film insturment panel to the plastic. Now I need to paint the P.E. instrument panel and attach it to the film.
