I dodn’t know how many of you have seen this before but it is possibly the most impressive paintjob I have ever seen on metal.
You would be shocked if you heard the price the guy paid. [:D]
Here is his website if you want to see more:

Mickey Harris is one extraordinary artist to say the least.
Mike
Ooooooooh thats niiiiice. All his stuff is nice.
What would you paint if you had a canvas that BIG??
I have no idea.
WOW!! could you imagine that thing comin’ down the road at you?!! he must do alot of truckin’ to pay for that!!LOL later.
So how much was it? Better yet, how much per hour did it work out for mickeyharrisart?

That’s some serious money. [:D]
There are more pictures of it here:

Mike
For the math nerds out there (like me):
$23.21 per hour
approx. $80 per sq. ft. (assuming a 53’ trialer and he didn’t paint the roof)
approx. $60 per sq. ft. (if he did paint the trailer roof)
I bet he got a blister on his finger from that one.
Really really impressive work. Thanks for digging that one out Mike.

My pleasure Josh.
I won’t tell you which airbrush he used. [yuck]
Mike
I’d love to see a kit for that truck with a nice decal set to go with it. That might be a show-stopper if it was done well.

I would agree. Dru is extremely talented and not only is he a great aviation artist, he is also the best photo-realism painter I have ever seen.

Judging by this 1337, it’s probably an Iwata or worse, an Aztec![(-D]
Regardless, that is some amazing work.

Yes it was an Iwata Eclipse.
Mickey could probably paint that with a Paasche H.
He is amazing.
Mike
Impressive. I saw something like this (or was it this exact same thing) a little while back on this forum.
That is ridiculously expensive for a paintjob.
What does it matter what airbrush he used? Clearly it’s the skill of the artist, and not the tools, that achieved this result.

It doesn’t matter. We were just having a little fun. [;)]

Dru Blair = [bow]
I have an Iwata Eclipse…How come mine doesn’t paint like that? Maybe it’s the compressor.
I think I’ll start a thread on “whats the best compressor”…
hey, mine neither!![:(!][:o)]
