Houston, We have a problem!

I am in dire need of the white theatre band for my Promodeler Me-109G4. Me being the klutz that I am occasionally I managed to shred the darn thing beyond repair. [banghead] If someone has the band that they are not using I would be most appreciative. If not a scan of the decal sheet would work as well. I can transfer the scan to some white decal film and make one from that. Just send me a PM and we can work out the details. Thanks in advance. [:)]

Why not mask and paint it?

I thought about that but, I have some of the decals in place in that area and I am afraid that the masking material with pull the decals off.

Try using a paper mask. In situations like that( decals) I place the paper against the surface and tape around the outside surface of the paper, leaving the paper side against the decaled surface. This does two things. It enables you to mask the straight line and preserves the decal underneath.

You could also spray a coat of future over the existing decals and then mask for the white band.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. [:)] I think I will try some parafilm M and see what happens.

Another “trick” I’ve used w/ great sucess is to cut the masks from paper and instead of taping them in place, wet the paper (not soaking dripping wet,of course). The paper will cling to the model and conform without damaging the adjacent area.

good luck…
