Hospital service

Anybody know who may have the red cross decals to do a JU 52 hospital ship in 1/48th scale. Top, Bottom of wing and side of aircraft needed.

I think your best shot is to get some clear decal film, paint it a red you like, and cut them out. You’ll have to fiddle with the length of the arms to get them to look right after they have settled in to the corrugations anyway.

Easy enough to mask and paint, aren’t they?

The corrigated skin is a bummer to mask. It’s also tough to get decals to lay down into all of the recesses of the skin. Given that the red cross is a simple shape, masking and painting is the route I would go. You can work the masking tape into the recesses of the skin, removing and reworking until you get it down snug. A decal won’t tolerate too much abuse.

If you are doing a 1:72 scale Ju 52…masking and painting is the way to go. The 1:48 one will take decals better, but the paint option IMHO is still better.
