What is a VFC squadron?
VFC stands for Fighter Squadron Composite. VFC-12, “Fighting Omars”, are a Navy Reserve Squadron that fly in the role of the “aggressor” during air combat training. The Marines have VMAT-401, “Snipers”, based out of MCAS Yuma, AZ, and they fly F-5s.
