The harvest is over for the season and there’s not much to grow now so modeling is starting to sound appealing. Hopefully this will be the year I get back into it.
I wonder if I can still operate an airbrush? [^o)] [:$]

Like riding a bicycle my friend… You’ll be right back in the groove once you actually start doing it…
Another bad tomato year for me.
Sorry to hear that GM. I have had bad luck with them as well and didn’t even grow them this season. I may try again next season.
As Michael Jordan said,Just do it !!! Crack open a kit,any kit and let the glue and paint fly, good things will happen.
Me too Mike. I haven’t completed a kit since I was laid off three years ago. I’m slowly getting back into it.
i’m just getting back in the groove too. wed i disassembled my airbrush, every piece and cleaned it good. Vallejo seems to gunk it up over time more than Tamiya or MMA.
like anything else, the hardest part is sitting down and starting. artists fear the blank canvas, writers fear the blank page but a few brush strokes or words is all it takes. similar with us sand and glue to pieces together and it’s an hour later before you know it.
Always good to see you here Mike. Just a thought-the Weekend Madness GB-currently running for the next three weekends (I think) is a great way to get back in the mood-grab an inexpensive Monogram/Revell kit and have at it…I find them a great jump starter. If not, hope to see you building and posting soon.
Thanks Bob. Heading to Beaufort, SC on Thursday to be with my son and grandkids for Thanksgiving but I may start on something the weekend after Thanksgiving.
I been trying to get back into it the last month or so. Have just been in a rut when it comes to modeling. I would sit at the bench for hours and nothing looks interesting to finish or start. I would go room to room and stare at the stash, pull several kits out thinking I will start on this one or that one but than say nope… needs AM sets, nada… needs decals, later… too many parts, nahhh… too few parts. Can it be MCD…Modeler Construction Dysfunction?
MCD… LOL. According to the commercials, if you sit in an empty bath tub in the middle of a field you’ll be just fine. Wait… that might be for a different kind of dysfunction. [:O] If you all find the secret to a good tomato harvest let me know. An extremely wet spring killed mine off. But, my jalapeños thrived. Anyway, I came back to modeling after 20 yrs and it all came back pretty fluidly. Have fun with it and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. I bet you’ll be 'modelin with the rest of us this winter!
