A lot of you probably are familiar with Eduard’s Zoom sets, but for those of you who want to try some PE, but not spend a lot or worry about tons of tiny parts, Eduard has Zoom sets for some model kits. Basically they are small frets with just some PE grills and a few odds and ends. Something nice if you want to use PE, but don’t use all the PE on the big sets. Picked one up for my T-55 and it is nice. One place to see what they have is go to Squadron, search under 1/35th and zoom
Wow thats great!
So many times I just wanted a couple things but didn’t want to buy the whole set.
This is perfect for me.
Makes it nice when you want to detail but not SUPER detail. I end up leaving a lot on the fret, so this makes me happy
I really like the Zoom sets. Easier on the wallet. I wish they would come out with a Zoom set for the Tamiya T-55.
your wish came true. They have two for the T-55- one with add on armor and one without. I just got mine in the mail today. Very nice!

To bad they don’t have any for a Trumpeter T-55
If you are looking for a great T-55 kit, check out the Tamiya. It is really really nice.
Jason,
Thanks for the links. I just have to figure out which set to buy. Maybe the one with the armor plating…
Thanks for the heads up JWest21, I’m going to order them for my Tamiya T-55. I think I’m ready to start playing around with some PE.
This is a nice way to begin. The most obvious items missing from Tamiya are the grills. These have those (like some of the Tamiya PE grill sets they have) plus a few extras (which Tamiya doesn’t). Besides, Tamiya doesn’t seem to have a lot of PE anyway
