Hollywood GB Feb 2011- Feb 26 2012, In Production (update-finally)

Anybody know of any links for Col.Hesslers M-47 Tiger ? google really hasn’t been any help.I guess I could rent the movie and freeze frame some shots /

Or I am thinking of doing Casey Jones’ Mig-15/F-84F from The Hunters…[^o)] Decisions, decisions…

Yeah they did… If it weren’t for the T-34 tracks and the fact that the turrets were rather over-sized for the chasis, they’d have been dead-ringers… I was only about ten or so when the movie came out, and in my mind, they WERE Tigers, lol… I’d just built a Lindberg (I think) 1/72 Tiger, see… So I was the German Armor expert in my neighborhood, lol…

So here’s the plan… I’m gonna do the Tamiya Tiger kit I got for the build… However, I’m torn whether to do the scene of Kelly, Big Joe, and Oddba talking with the Feldwebel, and the scene in which Oddball’s Sherman hits the second Tiger in the azz with the paint shell… Anyone have a preference? I’m kinda partial to the latter, but then I wouldn’t get get to use the Big Joe figure Oddball was in the hatch, and Kelley was manning the fifty while standing on the rear deck…

There’re just too many good scenes from that movie to model, lol… One could “Storyboard” the whole movie in 1/35th scale dioramas, lol… Starting with the Tiger gunning down the Kraut Oberst…

humm… I just got the Jaguar Oddball crew… [:O]

hummm…

This help?

Not sure which movie this “King Tiger” is from…

I’ve got the Verlinden set of Kelly, Big Joe, Oddball, and Crap-Game (Dunno why Crap-Game is in that set since he was wounded earlier and wasn’t in the scene, but oh well… Is your set the one with Oddball, Moriarity, and Turk?

yup… it is… I was thinking about getting the Formations conversion, but its $60.00… I got the tank… and the crew, just not sure how much I wanna scratch, to make Oddball’s tank…

Not sure which kit you have in mind for Oddballs, Sherman, but I used the old Testor’s M4A3… Check this guy’s Oddball rendition…

I didn’t do much scratch-building at all on it, really… It was just a matter of the loudspeaker, pipe for the main gun, and various stowage parts, with the all-important frying pan and bucket…

If you Google-Image “Oddball M4 Sherman”, you’ll get all KINDS of stuff to look at for the OddSherm…

i got a Dragon from Ebay…

I’ve been googling… not sure if the Formations has just the stowage and loud speakers, or other “oddball” specific items…

Hi!

Can I take part to this gb? I have two models in my mind. Other one is AMT Corporate Alliance Droid with what I already signed up to “No aftermarket gb”, but haven´t done anything to it since then [:$] I think it´s less than 50% started:

And another is Revell 1:144 Space shuttle modified to Moonraker.

If you don’t mind me asking, what in the name of Nimitz is that?

It’s a Star Wars “tank” of sorts used against the Republic Forces during the Clone Wars.

Ah, thanks… I never got much into the prequels of the Star Wars saga, just the original three… Of the three prequels, it was only Episode III that I watched more than once…

[:$] Sorry Hans, I forgot to add picture of the box + details. Yes it´s from Star Wars EP3.

Yeah, the lead up was nowhere near as engrossing as the originals, but once the Clone Wars actually started it became much more watchable.

Very nice Hans,much obliged.

Would you be interested in casting me a copy of your figures if I cast a copy of mine for ya?

Sorry for the delay in updates peoples. I promise to have it all done by Wednesday night. Its been hell here, between the lardlord having the wood heater ripped out for gas heating (requiring new carpets and painted roof) the lounge (where my bench and comp are) has been either a total shambles or not at all and had not much computer time and no bench time, but things are back on track now so I will be caught up presently.

Andrew
