I think it’s for all the Hobbytown’s around the country but for sure it’s the one in Arlington, TX. Get those entries in this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I always manage to get a couple of gift certificates that help on paints and stuff when I need them.
Our Hobby Town in Newnan, Ga is having their contest tommorow (Saturday 12th) They want all models to be dropped off anytime between 10:30 am to 3 pm with judging @ 3:30. Registration fee is $3…
I wish my Hobbytown had contests, but then they seem to be attepting to get rid all of their scale models, they have them all 25% off, which is still more then it costs to buy online.
Good luck to anyone who is entering. Sorry that your Hobbytown doesn’t have one Yeti. You can always hit your next IPMS Chapter or Regional Contest. They are lots of fun and if you get a chance to talk with a judge (or even better to shadow the judges) your modeling will greatly improve IMHO.
I won the Hobbytown/ Testors national contest for fall 2007 with my t-34 build-- It was pretty sweet-- a beautiful plaque and 250 bucks-- I am in again with a Tiger I for this weekend----Best of luck to all entrants!------treadwell[8D] http://www.hobbytown.com/CTFAI/Gallery.html http://www.hobbytownusa.com/NationalModel/ go to previous winners
It was alot of fun-- you could be next!!
Congrats on your win. Unfortunately the Arlington Hobbytown hasn’t been participating in the national contest. I guess it’s too much paper work for the owner. At least it’s having a contest. I took Best Aircraft down in Houston last weekend with one of the planes in the mix this weekend. Maybe I can convince the owner to give you a run for the money this year.
Good luck to you this weekend.
That is cool. I remember looking at that T-34 and thinking how good the detail was!!! What are you putting in this year??
