Looks like there is some real nice detail in that kit, should come out nice.
OooOo, this is one of my favorite vehicles. Excited to see how your turns out!
[dto:] I too have a softspot for this type and will be keeping an eye out for this one’s progress as well! Light years ahead of the old Tamiya version of many, many years ago.
Oh my!
Yo tambien. This is one of my personal favs (ever since I got it in an Axis and Allies miniatures pack). I suggest painting it in the Europe color scheme. Always thought that it looked best dark grey…[cptn]
That is a pretty slick looking kit there. It would be a shame to button up the engine compartment. Open that baby up! Just my[2cnts].[:$]
Cheers
Dave
Looking good so far James! My vote would definitely be for the two-tone DAK scheme. [:D]
Which still builds up pretty darn nicely considering its age. I may have to pick up this one though when its all said and done so I can have a DAK 222 to go with my grey one!!
Looking good so far…Good luck…![]()
Cool build.
The Germans had the idea of a mine resistant, boat-shaped hull 70 years ago and now the US Army is discovering it again in the MRAPs and M-ATV. History repeating itself.
I had no idea this kit came with a legit interior and engine compartment! LOOKS SWEET!
I never built an armored car but yours may make me go out and pick one up. Nice work so far. Some real nice detail in the interior and nice PE work. Will be watching with much intrest.
Rob
That is looking really good. That Hobby Boss kit is very nice keep us posted on how you come along with it.

Thanka guys, i agree its a nice kit, i think im going to have some little trouble with the joining of the
top hull and bottom though, i fear a gap.
i am thinking Dak, as i have a 38t on the way and that will be for certain Panzer Gray, although the instuctions look like they show 2 tone, they dont in person, im not sure what happened to that photo.
mine resistant maybe. i still wouldnt wanna be inside one when it happened though.
The interior is quite nice, although the engine could be a tad better. but what can ya do, rest is pretty sweet. more in a few days.
Looking good LPJ - I do like the look of this kit [Y]
There was a really good, detailed tutorial for this very kit in a recent magazine. If you haven’t got it I can scan some images and Email them to you?
Let me know - and remember, no hairspray [;)]

Looking really good James.[:)] I’ll be following along with this build.
Nate
thanks guys! but, dont get your hopes up, you know what happened last time lmfao!!
haha
Ben, much appreciated if you could. need a little inspiration.

Remember that the top portion of the hull slightly overhung the bottom portion…
Don’t forget the TriStar 222 which is somewhat similar to the HobbyBoss 222.
