Hobby Lobby's got more than models.

I stopped by the local Hobby Lobby and couldn’t find a kit that I couldn’t live without, so I wondered around looking at the paints, brushes and pastels that I occasionally pick up… nothing needed. But I found some really neat stuff in the beads and necklaces section. They had all kinds of small gauge wire and string (would make good looking small scale rope). They also had a thin gauge stretch line that I hope will make good antenna wire. If you look closely, you’ll see what a nice tight coiled knot it tied into on the pin head. Prices ranged from $1.99 to $4.00. I thought I’d share this find with everyone. Hope it helps someone out.

Yeah, if you confine your search of Hobby Lobby to the kit aisles, you miss out on a LOT of paints & materials that are indespensable for the diorama builder… Especially the acrylic craft paints… They’re a quarter the price of the “Model Brands” and three times the size… You just gotta do some paint-chip matching…
