I’ll just give my money to the vendors that are going to be at the IPMS Convention. You know the one where 400 people will be selling everything they own to make a buck. Also the one where there is 1100 preregistered and that only the start, someone said that was only one half or two thirds of the final number of entrants. That where I’ll be spending my money.
Blast… my Hobby Lobby seems to be switching to all 1/144 (alas, not my scale). I’ll have to see if I want to break the bank for anything. There’s still that 1/72 Spruce Goose to think of…

Got back to Hobby Lobby today. Picked up the Hobbycraft (Trumpeter) P-38. The Academy 1/32 F-16 and Revell 1/48 Super Bug is coming tomorrow. I saw a guy from the IPMS Nats there and we both had the same choice to make, money here or at the Nats. He was from St. Pete and doesn’t have a local Hobby Lobby. We were like kids in the aisle.

Picked up Tamiya’s 1/48 Jugs…both Razorback and Bubbletop. And got Accurate Miniatures TBF/M Avenger, with George H. Bush’s markings.
Jugs were $38.99 each regularly, and Avenger was $33.99 regularly.
Woo hoo. I need a big bag of money for all that I want to get. I was at two Hobby Lobby stores, and neither of them had Tamiya’s 1/48 F4U-1A or -1D…they had the ones w/ the moto-tug, but I don’t want that. And they don’t have the Tamiya P-51 kits, either. Bummer.
