Hobby Craft BMP

first off thanks to the guys with the tips for my M1. second, im about to start building the Hobby Craft BMP. i cant find any tips or reviews on this kit. how good does it represent the BMP? are there any add ons that are recommended? and lastly, i looked at the wheels, and there arent hub caps, there seem to just be holes in the middle of the wheel, and the kit is supplied with metal screws to screw them on. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Beware, the Hobby Craft kits are generally pretty bad. They are cheap reboxes/copies of other makers’ kits. Some are good (AS-90, M1A1/A2 are Trumpeter reboxes), others are horrible (HMMWVs, M2A2, AAVP-7). Sounds like the BMP falls on the bad side. Good luck.

A friend of mine just finished a Mig-25 from hobby craft and hated it. He said is the most putty and sanding he has done to a model.
He said the company should be called hobby crap :stuck_out_tongue:
I actually like how it turned out, but it did seem to require extra work.

I have built this kit and it is tough. First off, it was made to be a motorized kit so that already gives you a headache. I recommend getting AM roadwheels as the kit road wheels come with SCREWS! that are visible after you construct the model, The lower front slope also has two SCREWS! that you used to attach the lower hul to the upper.!

I filled the holes on the hull and the roadwheels and went from there. If you can get past the agony of that, it isn’t too bad of a kit. I can see a lot of possiblities with it.

For all my B*%#&(^G I did buy another one. At $6.50, why pass it up! hehe I think it would be a good kit to rip up and make into a BRM.
