Hobby Craft 1/48 Spitfire mk 14

I’m not finding much on this kit (HC1537) anywhere on the net, or very little on this forum.

Whats the general consensus on this one?

Is there something wrong with it?

Why so little feedback?

I recieved this in a group acquisition last week.

Figured I’d do some practice camo with it.

Thanks

Strange… I con’t even find reference to that kit on Hobbycraft’s site…!

I did find reference [several in fact] to 1537 spitfires MK 1As being built…

you are sure about the scale & kit number?

all in all I find Hobbycraft can be kinda hit and miss, their older kits being pretty rough. Though I do have a nice sea fury from them in 48 scale…

The only 1/48 Spit XIV I’m aware of are the Academy kits. The HC may be a re-box ? If it is the Academy kit, it’s quite nice & has been well covered.

Regards, Rick

I built that one …

it is quite nice, but I don’t know how accurate it is.

Yeah, I’ll have to post a pic…

I recieved it in a kit lot that I recieved last week…

What I listed is correct.

Thanks guys for the feedback…

The kit was started (interior parts were painted and glued in to the fuse half, but them removed)

Makin me think I’d better document this one some for some basic reference.

Thanks for the replies Shawn, and Rick…

Nice Acadamy finished product you referred to there!

Not sure if this is a re-box.

Guess I’d have to have the Acadamy kit for parts reference.

I’ll try to post some pics today guys.

Apreciate it!

I have a Hobbycraft Mk XIV, but it is HC 1585, not 1537. 1537 and 1585 are supposed to be identical.

Good to know!

Thanks
