Hobby Boss

I’m thinking about buying a helicopter made buy Hobby Boss. Are their kits detailed well and are they good kits? Thanks for commenting.

It depends on the kit. Generally, they are simplified in construction and details in 1/72 and only slightly better in 1/48.

What kit are you looking to get?

On a side note, their 1/35 armor kits are usually very good.

I generally find Hobby Boss kits to be quite nice, although for aircraft they seem to release two types of kits. One is the simplified easier to build version, usually identified with an 80… at the start of the kit number, whereas if the number starts with an 87… then it is a genuine kit.

I found their 1/72 Mil 35 to be very detailed and quite a good fit.

Here are some cockpit pix -out the box

I also started building the hobbyboss 1/72 H-34 Chocktaw, the hassle is that the rotors rotate in the wrong direction !

I like HB kits, generaly well detailed and good value for money.

Theuns

Thank you Blitzwing and Theuns, That really helps me a lot. I’m looking at the Cobra and the Hind.
