I got me the F4U-4 by Hobby Boss. Boy they really went out on that one. Everything you want they placed in the box except a folding wing.
I hope you enjoy it. I just got my first HB kit; the A-10A and it’s a beauty. I haven’t begun it yet other than assembling some weapons I’m using on my current project. It looks as if it’s going to build up nice. Look forward to seeing your come together.
Hobbyboss seems to be starting to put a name out for themselves.
My latest build was their (older) F4F-3 Pre-war wildcat, and apart from some issues it went together pretty nice. I’ve been building their F8F Bearcat and that one is really great, a bit straight forward and a ‘decent’ cockpit (it’s nice but not that very detailed) but still an awesome model.
I really want their Latest Ta-152 C-1/R14 and their Anatov AN-2 is drawing my attention to, but I haven’t seen that one in any stores yet…
But maybe that was a good thing because they are going to release one with floats, I want it.

After my F/A-!8/A experience with Hobby Boss I’m now a big fan. I just finished the F4F-5 and it looks good. I will have to decal it yet. I have thier A-10 waiting in the wings too.
You obviously enjoyed the Hornet. Good fit and all? I’m eyeing doing a F-18 myself. Really want to do a Super Bug before a legacy, but you may be able to convince me otherwise with your thoughts on the kit, constructor.
Hmmmmmmmm…Tamiya’s is very BOSS…not sure it could be improved on, and IT DOES have a folding wing…
