Hobby Boss 1/48 A-7E Corsair II Sidewinders - Work in progress

Nice save!

After tedious masking here are the electronics bays painted in base colours. Some cleanup and corrections are required prior to washes, dry brushing and details.

Now, this is a b%$ch! I assume that Aires just relabeled the parts to say for Hobby Boss while it is actually for Hase, Academy, Trumpy, whatever… The AM part is significantly shorter than the kit part so there is a big gap.

I need to think of the way to remedy this.

I also started making the intake cover. Luckily, there are two intake “mouths” provided so I used the other one as a template:

Also, again after tedious masking, the cockpit base colours and a gloss coat are done:

The intake cover and cockpit look good Nikola! Keep it up!

The Corsair slowly advances… My phone sincerely apologizes for the photo quality. :)

Great work on the equipment and pit details! [t$t] [t$t] [t$t]

Very nice work. That looks really good, even if the phone is to blame. Excellent.

Very nice work on the cockpit! Keep it up!!!

Looks great! I love A-7’s. I have the Hasegawa version with Aeromaster decals for VA-86. I plan on building it ‘one day’. I also want to build the HB TA-7C, in 1/72, because I a sucker for tandem seat aircraft, plus I just lover the look of the two-sair. Looking forward to seeing your final on this one!

Decals in place.

Left to do - canopy, “beast mode” ordnance, ejection seat details, control stick and canopy mechanism installment, all bay doors installment, intake cover, some minor paint corrections and some more weathering with oils and pencils…

Best,

Nikola

Very nice work on this Nikola! Looks like you’re just about at the finish line.

Wow - how did I miss this thread? One of my alltime favorite planes. You’re doing a fantastic job and I dig the markings!

That’s looking really great Nikola, very nice work you are doing on that A-7! [:D[

That’s some nice modeling, Nikola.

The build, the paint, the pit, the entire build is just great! [t$t] [t$t] [t$t]

Stay safe.

Thank you very much guys! Appreciated!

Best,

Nikola

Almost to the finish line.

A few teasers won’t hurt…

Best,

Nikola

Looking real good… and I think I see evidence of gluing ones fingers together in the near past?[H]
