[dto:] Hadn’t thought of that!!
As far as I’m concerned RoG is a lot of model for the money and they still come under the Asian companies in terms of price, particularly the Japanese-based companies…
I have been really impressed with the level of detail and value you get from RoG of late…when you can beat a Hasegawa in terms of accuracy and detail AND in price—well, that’s no mean feat…
Good luck & much success to you in this highly competitive market place in the middle of a stagnant economy.
+1
I have had no complaint about any RoG kits vs price I’ve purchased (RoG repoping somone else’s is another matter, but those prices are usually lower anyways)
I wonder if they will try to out-do Airfix’s Swordfish?
I haven’t bought said brand in almost 40 years!
Definitely !! [dto:]
you know I bought a RoG Dornier Do-X…it was missing parts…had to take it back…me//return a floatie thingie…it just hurt…,I hope they fix that…
Speakingof floating thingies. I just wish they would re-release some of their old great ships one more time RoG style. You know ,sharply molded and good looking when done.I wonder what the SOYA would,ve beenlike had REVELL of the U.S.A. and,or RoG did her? Then there,s the passenger ships.I went to the SAVANNAH museum site, whatta ship! I have always thought REVELL,S was better than anyone elses. I do miss the C-3 class freighter though , plus the BRAZIL/ARGENTINA .I have built her stock-OOB,and modified her into the ANDREA DORIA and sich.Their ships modify so well.In the case of the early ones I don,t care about bottom detail , especially if it,s on a stand. No one cares about props and rudders anyway! Now that tha,s said I do also hope to see the later U.S.S. HORNET and the space recovery version again.SOON , PLEASE ???I need to convert her to the MIDWAY, the ship I was last stationed on.Thank you REVELL, and RoG for many wonderful products. Flaws and all !By the way I am working on the very old ENTEX DORNIER DOX whatta bird ! tankerbuilder
Which brand? Airfix or Revell of Germany. Both have great kits in their lines and both have ancient and/or horrible kits in their line (I’m not implying that a kit is horrible because it is old).
From what I’m readin’ the biggest change will be more US Revell/Monogram kits going to Europe and more R/C models being developed for both markets…
I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for a “flood” of new kits to hit the US Market, Kiddies… 'Cept maybe some car kits… Wouldn’t count on anything already in existance being re-tooled either…
There certainly wasn’t when they took over Revell/Monogram…
