Here is a scene from Hitler’s summer tour of Poland. His army entering Warszawa (Warsaw). Actually finished a few days ago but I lost the right arm of the motorcycle rider and that looked ugly. Ordered a replacement arm and he’s back on the road now. I made the base. The brick wall, cobblestone road, sidewalk. I found the propaganda posters online, shrunk them down and printed them off. It was fun but there were moments I had wished I had taken up another hobby. Stamp collecting maybe. No parts the size of an atom with that. There are several screwups I am sure you will find. Honestly I am looking forward to moving on to something of a bigger scale (1/35) . . .The 1/48 kits like these from Tamiya are fun to build but just too many tiny pieces. (Tamiya 1/48 Panzer 38t along with the Tamiya 1/48 Motorcycle and sidecar kit.
Nice job. Cool little dio. Ya 1/48 armor does sound challenging - cleaning up and painting tiny road wheels and track assembly… yikes I don’t have the patience in 1/35!
Very cool diorama, I hear you on the smaller scales. I can’t do them anymore, 1/35 is still pretty comfortable. Stamps are easier and more relaxing but not half as fun to look at.
Beautiful work.
Very nice, Keith! I sure wouldn’t want to do 1/48. Too small.

Great work on this diorama. Everything works together. I was thinking of doing a Polish campaign dio myself. As for the 1/48 scale, I started with the old Bandai kits, and they were great when it came to details, but I moved up to 1/35 since it was easier for building things and you can find a lot of different details easier. When it comes to the smaller scales I only use them for aircraft. (They take up much more space.) I will do a 1/48 or 1/72 scale plane; but that is the only genre. Anyhow, GREAT WORK!
