Hi,

allright - here is your newbie #1 :slight_smile:

I used to build kits as a kid between 1968 and 1975.
Picked it up again when the kids where small between 1990 and 1998.
And now I am back thanks to my brother who bought me a Tamiya Panther G…

I would like to build more tanks from WWII.
I am thinking;
A.) Sherman
B.) Tiger
C.) Churchill
D.) T34

Could you perhaps suggest something for a beginner?

Simple

A.) Sherman: Tamiya M4A3 (105) #35256

B.) Tiger: Tamiya Early #35216

C.) Churchill: Tamiya #35100 or #35210

D.) T34: Tamiya #35138 or 35059 or 35149

all are good solid kits. Pretty accurate and engineered for a good build. Maybe not dripping with microscopic detail parts – but solid for you to begin with.

Are you looking for OOB or rivet-counting?

Do you have Head-of-Household budget or “leftover after honey-do”?

All of the above ought suit, either way.

There’s AM (aftermarket) for all of them, if you are keen (or budget allows).

Nifty things like Fruhl track can be distracting…
