Well, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Just call me Phil. I just got back into models after a 8 year or so hiatus. Been resin figure painting in the interim. I’m 40 years young, with 4 kids. I have a little more free time for my hobby I guess since I’m a disabled veteran and am back in college finishing up my business degree. My modelling tastes have varied widely in the past, but I’ve been doing resin figures for a while, focusing on the exquisite JJ Models figure series. Recently, I’ve picked up period ship models again. I’m just finishing up the small version of the Constitution. Figured it would be a good warmup to get me back in the swing of things while I get my tools and materials back together. I just purchased the Heller Soleil Royal (1/100), and will be getting the 1/96 (I believe that’s the scale) Heller La Reale in the next week or so.
And with these detailed ships will come a lot of questions, so be prepared to see me on here a lot. Everyone has already been a big help, so I know I’ll make good friends here…
Oh, are we allowed to post pictures of resin figures that have nudity? I’ve had a couple of people that want to see my work, but I don’t know if I have to black out the “good parts” or not.
