Hi my name is Nicole

Silly me i got superglue on my finger tips and i tried nail polish remover but it’s still there…The feeling of the superglue feels odd and i have to take it off. Any Ideas? [:I]

Hi Nicole, welcome aboard [:D]
Hope the superglue doesn’t have you stuck to the keyboard now! Just kidding. I find that when I get it stuck to my hands (happens more often than I like!) it usually gets to the point where I can rub or peel it off within less than a day.

Please no one ask me how I know about getting superglue on ones’ tongue or teeth… [:0]

Hi Nicole, and welcome. The only thing I know of is acetone or acetone based nail polish remover. Enjoy your time here, it is fun and friendly.

We use nail polish remover, which is just acetone, in the ER I work in. Go to Wally world and get a quart-sized can for a couple bucks. Pour about 2 ounces in a paper cup(melts plastics!) and soak the offending digit until the glue loosens. You might want to put a little moisturizing cream on the fingers afterward to keep them from getting to dried out. Watched a doc superglue a kids chin to her chest by mistake once for a simple chin laceration…I was the lucky guy to find it and fix the problem:) Parents thought it was funny. The doc and the kid didn’t

Welcome, Nicole!

It looks like you have found your answer so…enjoy the site!

Hi there Nicole,

Actually I use a 600 sandpaper and gently sand it off… Crude as it sounds… it works for me… Anyway let me be the 5th person to welcome you… feel free to pose queries at the forums and enjoy your stay here…

Cheers,
Nandakumar

Hi and welcome Nicole …

See how friendly and helpful the FSM community modeling forum(s) members are … my 2 cents is … sometimes … depending upon the brand of CA glue … warm water and dish washing soap … CA often doesn’t like moisture and warmth. Good luck and enjoy your vists to the community forum(s) … read alot, post alot and share your interests and ideas … again welcome!
