Hi from the UK

Living in the countryside means that an interactive forum like this is really good! Magazines and mail order are how I get most stuff.

Am interested in armour (1/32) and aircraft ( mainly 1/48th) though have recently enjoyed building as eries of WW2 tanks in 1/72

I set models in dioramas as I like the model to “tell a story”

Am close to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton and Bovington Tank Museum so I suppose its not all bad!

Stan

Oh to live that close to Bovington…ahh to dream. There…I’ve snapped out of it now. Welcome to the forums Jeeper…you’re absolutely right about the advantages of these forums to people that live outside of major cities. It’s a great way to meet and “talk” with other modellers. Look forward to your posts.

HEY, JEEPER. I POSTED THIS QUESTION, BUT I’LL ASK YOU ANYWAY. WITH ALL OF YOUR DIORAMAS WHAT DO YOU USE TO DISPLAY THEM IN, YA KNOW SOME TYPE OF DUST COVER. I AM SURE THAT YOU DO NOT DUST EACH DIORAMA EVERY OTHER WEEK, OR DO YOU? WHAT PART OF UK ARE YOU IN. I ONCE HAD A FRIEND WHO LIVED IN ASHFORD, KENT, ENGLAND, BUT HE PASSED AWAY. I AM LOCATED IN MALDEN, MASSACHUSETTS, ABOUT 5 MILES NORTH OF BOSTON. HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON. RON

Good to hear from someone who likes dioramas, I made a piece with a german hanomagSd.kfz & 5 figures. I placed them on a rocky pebble road off somewhere in a European countryside and a couple of drums and also a wooden shack. Whew took me about 2 months to build it. Hey you should try it really. see ya pal.

Welcome - I hope to visit the UK countryside someday!

Hi there jeeper,

And welcome to the community… I too love 1/48 aircraft but am yet to go into dioramas… Do hope to see some of the your diorama’s pics… post them if possible… And enjoy your stay here… The guys at the forum are very helpful and we do hope to learn things from you…

Hmmm… the country side should be a nice place to visit…

Cheers,
Nandakumar
