This beats anything I’ve ever seen… I have a 1/48 Monogram F-14 hanging from the ceiling above my desk and a while back I noticed drops of “stuff” on the desk under where the model was hanging. After a long search I noticed that the bottom of the model, near the exaust was leaking an oily liquid. I wiped it off but the next day there was more. It has no smell and is about the consistency of linseed oil. I only painted that model with Testors spraypaint, nothing else. What’s really odd is that it was built at least 6 years ago. If anything was going to have a reaction, it should have happened long ago. There is no way anything could have gotten on or into the model in at least 3 years. The stuff seem to be coming from inside and had no adverse effects on the paint. I estimate that enough of this stuff dripped out to fill the lid of one of those small Testor paint jars.
is there an attack above your room??? if there is, check it…perhaps something spilled up there, leaked threw the floor, down the wires to your plane, and collected in the lowest spot???
Hey Stoopidfish,
There’s no real answer here is there?
Take the thing down from the ceiling and place it on a desk or something for a while, and see if it still leaks.
If it still does, and you can’t live with it, just hit it with a hammer.
If if still leaks, just get a bigger hammer.
Works for me every time. Sorts the kids out, too.
Cheers

Maybe it is like in the movie Toy Story or some of the old commercials for , I think Nissan" where Barbie gets picked up by GI Joe leaving Ken in the dust. Does are models come alive when we are not around or could it be Elves taking a break from making shoe and going for test flights?
This could only be solved by Scooby-Doo! Okay now I now I have been watching too much TV with my daughter.
