Hey guys, I need help converting Monograms 1/48 DC-3 into a C-47

Hey I need some help finding out what stuff to get rid of,and what stuff to add to this. I corrected the interior and scratchbuilt seats, and made a new floor out of sheet styrine, on one photo so that is not a problem, but I need to know what I have to do to get the exterior to be exact to a C-47. Note I am doing and early variant without the cargo door, and it is still going to retain the origianal passenger opening. Another note I belive all of the military equipment is included with the kit because Monogram made this kit from the C-47, so they only added things, and I dont belive took alot of the original things from the mold away.

Thanks ahead, and I know I can trust you people, to help me with my delema.[:D]

P.S. I know you are probably thinking why didnt he just get the C-47 kit. Well I saw this kit first at my local hobbyshop and thought it would be fun to convert it, but I am now kicking myself because 5 days latter guess what kit I saw at a swap meet for 10 dollars, the Monogram C-47 kit. And that is why I am building this kit.[xx(][V]

G’day,

The Monogram kit you are trying to convert is it # 5610 ?

Troop seats ran paralel with the fuselage and folded up when not being used, the Astro Dome, is something your going to scatch fit which is above the Navigators station.

I’ve put the photo of mine there as a guide, I hope it helps.

Rob.

Thanks much you are a life saver, I could not figure out where that Astrodome went, that was my bigest problem but thanks to your photo I am saved. Oh by the way the model is outstanding it is very nice, and I love the fact that you did an aircraft not under american or British insignias.

Another bit of help from the land of Oz.
There are several other changes that may need to be made. There is no streamlined tail cone on the C47 and there could be a glider tow hitch. There were also several variations of air scoops on the top of the engines, some were shorter than the ones on Lobbies Dak.
