Hi everyone, normally being an aircraft modeler, I never built a tank. I got a lucky chance to go to a really good hobby shop out of town. I already have 20 airplane kits so I don’t need anymore. (unless its awsome) Then I saw a Lindberg Tiger I for 8 $! I bought it looked inside and it seemed pretty easy. No glass parts, Less decals, and from the looks of it not as much seems to fill. Just a tricky paint job. I am going to build this very soon. But my question is the callouts for main colors are Forest Green, Dark Green and Light Brown. Are these really the colors or do tanks use RLM colors. If so I will go ahead. Thanks for reading.
German tanks were painted using RAL colors. For a vehicle after feb '43, the colors would have been basecoat of dark yellow with camo paints of olive green and red brown. Any hobby shop would have what colors you need.
If you’re aware of Lindberg quality in aircraft, you’ll understand that it’s fairly simplistic.
[#ditto]Tamiya Dark Yellow, (mix 50/50 with White to get correct “scale color”), Tamiya Red Brown, and Model Master Panzer olivegrun.
Your kitty will love you long time! [swg]
Welcome to the Darkside and a nice choice to start with to boot.
