Hey Ausf, what day is Mad Tiger Day again ?

One of the guys at my LHS suggested this for german indy links. I don’t think it would work with Sherman types. Place a length of masking tape as long as your longest section sticky side up across your workbench, and keep it in place with two smaller pieces crossing the first one at either end. Then lay down the links you want to put together on the sticky side-up tape. Now glue and wait a until it sets. Then pull it up and put it on the tank. He made it sound very easy. I have to admit, I’ve never tried it. The only indies I’ve done were on a Sherman, and having to put end connectors on each link would make this method difficult, I think. Has anybody tried this before?

Sorry guys. Boss just came in and said we’d be working both Saturday and Sunday. I wish just once I could get into a group build without it being half over. I will keep you in my thoughts as I put my nose to the grind stone.

hey ausf you can add my name to the list will be doing revells kit

The 1/72 Dragon kits have arrived in my LHS, at least it is the first time that I have noticed them. I got the Tiger 1 late, with zimm, for the event and a King Tiger with the Porsche turret for another day.
However, I have to work the night shift on Sunday, from 7pm. I will be able to post the start of my build and an update before I leave for work. I will take my camera in and hopefully have a quiet shift so that I can finish it before midnight. I will post the completed pics at 8am on Monday.
Hope this is OK

Jeez, whatever happened to the honor system? [:p]

I guess if I want to start at midnight, I’ll need to photo it next to the weather channel. I don’t ger the Times until around 7am.

I have to go out and get the NYT (plus bagels) so don’t worry (I had to cancel delivery because it started coming around 9:30. I have two little ones…the day’s half over by then). I managed to clear the decks for this, wife and kids away overnight so I guess an 8 AM start will give me plenty of time…we’ll see. It’s just me, the dog, the kit and the weisswurst (und weissbier)…Happy times!
