I have my Hetzer primed but the wheels are not attached to the hull yet.
what color should the lower {diecast part Tamiya 1/48} be? solid single color, say dk green { the major color of the three color pattern?}, then do the wheels green and Red brown alternating, finishing the upper hull in the three color camo pattern {think DOOGs Hetzer, with ah…much less talent in the job [BH]}
or spread the three color down through to the lower hull too?
I would go with just plain DY on the hull, but I suppose Dark Green would be acceptable–but I don’t recall hearing of any Hetzers with overall DG hulls as if from the change in painting orders.
If you want to go with what would seem to be most accurate, I would stick to DY.
Your plan for the rest of the paint job sounds fine!
ok, I could not tell from the pictures… dark yellow over everything, then add the other two colors with silly putty.
the way the Tamiya kit goes together, I can do the lower hull, then paint the wheels do some work on the “springs” etc. then build the tracks, see if I can get 'em off, paint them and then re-assemble. I think I might be able to leave the wheels and treads off until the top is painted. then assemble and weather some more. {I am going to TRY to follow your tutorial[:-^][bow]}
