I’m in the process of ordering some Friuls for my mid or ‘Mittlere’ production Hetzer (Tamiya 1/35).
When I looked at the picture of the box on screen it said “Hetzer - Early”.
I know there were various styles of Hetzer but will early Hetzer Friul Tracks be ok for a mid production model Hetzer?
This is what I’ve found…as you can see it says ‘early’?

Now then, I’m looking at the kit and all that is provided painting wise is a three colour ambush scheme. I’d rather not use this but I unstand that the number of holes in the idlers have an impact on how I can (realistically) paint this thing - very confusing?
Decal wise there will be no numbers - just the single black cross (I can never remember the name of that thing).
I’d like to keep painting to a single colour and heavily weather it but I’m not sure how this mid production Hetzer holds me - can I do this or were they only painted in the ambush scheme?
I’d really apreciate any advice on this as the Hetzer is something I’m just starting to learn a bit about! It looks like a superb kit.
The Tiger has died a death by the way [:S] all the plastic on one of the sprues is brittle and breaks with the lightest touch and my glue won’t adhere to the side die cast hull - the fenders aren’t holding and are pulling away! I’ve put it away for the time being to move onto something a bit more ‘fun’!
