Curious to know if anyone has heard of any model company planning on making a US HET (Heavy Equipment Transporter) model. It would be an awesome addition to anyone’s collection!
Second, is anyone aware of any large scale (1/24-1/15) kits of the M1 series of tanks? The only real options seem to be inacurate Remote Control “toys!”

Someone pointed out the expensive HET. Yes, there is a company that makes a pretty good 1/25 scale remote control M1A2. Someone e-mailed me a link to their site where they accurized the kit and did a marvelous job at making a very nice large scale tank kit. I’ll look for the link later.

I have a friend who is a NASCAR nut and he convinced me to build an Abrams that was gloss red, with chromed road wheels, and had racing stickers adorned all over it (and it actually came out well, not to mention unique). My next thought was to do a HET in the same style to act as the NASCAR abrams’ transporter, but not at around $350!!!

Here is the link to the large scale Abrams RC group. I’ve seen a couple built and they are nice. I’ve also seen the toy-like one you mention and got one for Father’s Day several years ago. Much fun to play with, but it only looks like an Abrams tank. It is not very accurate at all.
