Here's a challenge for you guys.......1/48 PBY Catalina.

What do you say???

Better him than me! However, that’s incredible work.

I would say he must have taken a PBY and put it in a shrinking machine and painted it gray! [:D]

Wow, that is some amazing work!

DAMN!!! This guy is good!!! Wish I had that much talent (and patience!)! Thanks for posting!

Wow.

{shakes head in disbelief…}

{walks away… looks back over shoulder}

Wow.

{shuffles off…}

Good lord! [:O] That’s amazing!

Outstanding work. I built the Monogram PBY (Displayed in the Shrine of Remembrance, Sydney) and have to wonder if all that work will be visible. I certainly hope so.

Thanks for the link.

out-freaking-standing. That to me is what modelling is all about. Wish I had the wear-with-all to take on something like that.

Outstanding work, looks like you could push the right buttons and it’d start right up.

But I do find myself asking … why? I attempted something like this (although much, much cruder) with my B-25B Doolittle Raider, thinking that with all that glass, some of the detail would show through. When all was said and done, however, about the only thing you really noticed was the bombardier’s office, and maybe some vague details in the cockpit and perhaps the top turret. The rest of the interior fuselage details - stringers, oxygen bottles, fire extinguishers, etc., were lost, unless you pressed your eyeball right up to the glass. Maybe it’s because it was 1/72 scale, but my next aircraft is going to have much, much less interior detailing outside of the correct shade of green.

Absolutely a work of art, extreme patience and hard work! Hope to live long enough to have the time to make a feeble attempt at such a project! It’s an inspiration to scratch building details! Thanks for sharing the link.

SCHWIING!

Man…what an amazing sight!

I sure hope he posts pics when he starts painting that.
The man certainly suffers from OCD…and whan an incredible feat…simply beautiful work.

Needless to say we know your answer to the hack or rivet counter thread. Seriously though…wow. Must not have neither kids nor cats in the house. Nothing left for me to do other than retire from modeling and take up fishing. (sniff)

wow. just wow. that guy is insane (in a GOOD way)! wow.

He’s Good, okay GREAT.

Now THAT’S the kind of modeling I like, it’s awesome.

I want to see it when it’s done.

…WOW…Brazilians are good at building models and playing soccer.[tup] Hope to see it when its painted.[:D]

Wow! Í will never build another kit again jajajaja!

I would never attempt something like that. I also wonder how much will be seen once the fuselage is closed up.

Right behind you.
