Nice work Bossman, it’s always a pleasure seeing a crappy kit transformed into nice model. [tup]
Nice work! Wish I could do work like that (size 13 ring finger)[:D] I do like the brushwork.
Thanks Frosty, Dan & Stick !
Frosty - You mean the Red-tail P-51 for your dio is an Airfix ? Neat !
Dan - It’s not the greatest kit I’ve ever bought - I debated on whether or not I should title this message “My Airfix-erupper”. This one did require some improvements - but I don’t like to put down a company that really helps out the modeller on a budget - like I was when I was a kid (heck - like I am now !). These are great kits for entry level or for guys like me that are… Cheap. (I guess there’s no way around admitting that)
Besides - If I spent 17 - 20 bucks or more on a different manufacturer’s 1/72 kit - I probably wouldn’t be as willing to experiment with it as much, and I won’t get torqued about it when it eventually meets its demise (someday - they all do).
Happy Modelling,
Chris
Chris:
yep, airfix P-51D/K…
comes w/ both swedish markings & british roundels & fuse codes,
none of which r very helpful in modeling a Red-tail 'stang, LOL !
an ‘airfixer-upper’, i like that !!! [:D][:D]
