Hi, I#8217;ve started my Hasegawa 1-48 scale Henschel 129B3 (the one with the big gun). But the kit instructions are a bit vague on the colours in the cockpit, it states that everything needs to be done in RLM 66. Does it all need to done in RLM 66 ?? Apart a decal for the instrument panel, it looks rather boring. Anyone got any ideas, reference sites or pics I could use.
Thanks for any help.
The only other option is RLM 02 and the only thing that does is to make the instruments stand out better.
RLM 66 is the correct cockpit color. You can pop out more detail by giving it a thin wash of black and then dry brush in a slightly lighter shade of gray. Gives the interior a little more oomph than overall RLM 66.

mossieramm, the Luftwaffe colour coded certain instruments with red, yellow and white around the bezel, and this might go someway to alleviating the drabness of the RLM66.
For more information try:
The site is in German, so look under ‘Bordausrustung’, then from the next menu go to ‘Fluginstrumente’ and go to the foot of the page for images, some colour of various cockpits.
Hope this helps.
