I have searched in vain for any decent cockpit or engine pics,having placement problems of main instrument panel in the Czech models 1/48 XP-56.thanks.

Awesome photos, Blackwolf. I would really like to build this aircraft sometime in the future, but in 1/72, and that of the second prototype. This is the first prototype, with the smaller dorsal fin. The second was fitted with a much larger dorsal fin to correct some directional instability. I believe THAT one was scrapped.
Hopefully with the new Udvar F. Hazy center, this will eventually get restored and go on display. (That, along with the only surviving Bv 155. I guy can hope, can’t he?)
I hope to motorize my model, also. After, of course, beefing up my contra-prop gearbox.
