Greetings fellow modelers. I’m Ron from the Philippines.
I would like to request or a copy (photocopied or scanned) of the building instructions of the following model kits. My original instructions are missing:
This is somewhat off-topic, but do any of you keep the kit instructions after you finish building the model. I still have most of my old ones, some going bact to the late Sixties.
Yeap, i do keep the instructions after i finish my models, and with all your respect i dont think this guy´s request is an off topic, as you said.
And Ron-man i have the instruction sheet from a monogram P-38J in a 1/48 but the kit number is 5479, if you find this helpful send me an e mail and i´ll be glad to scan the instructions for you. hreymundo@yahoo.com
Sorry, I didn,t mean to say ron-man’s question was off-topic, I meant that my question was somewhat off of ron-man’s topic. Again, sorry for the confusion. Sometimes it’s hard to convey the exact point you are trying to make while using only the printed word.
Hey, no harm no foul. I shall try harder in the future to convey my messages in a clearer way. This has happened to me before in some other forums. I quess I’ll have to better compose my off-the-cuff remarks, though it might dilute the spontinaity.

you are from Canada, do you speak French? most of the Canadian people that i know speak English but there might be some people that speaks only either English or French, i am from Mexico City and some times is hard to make myself clear or to understand the messages … dont worry, they should understand English is not our primary language but we do our best though…
I speak only English, though there are those who would argue the point. I type faster than I can think, which isn’t saying much as I only use one , at most, two fingers to type with.
Dogsbody, I still don’t understand why you would think ron-man’s request is off his topic. He said “help wanted:” which means he needs help. Following the colon, he said “copies of instructions”, which means he needs copies of model instructions. There are many times whe I got a kit (especially Hasegawa) and later want to do a different version, so I hoped I had the instructions for it. It’s perfectly reasonable.
Sorry you mis-understood my opening remark. What I meant to say was that my question was off the topic of ron-man’s original question. Ron-man’s question is a perfectly good question that was asked in the proper forum. My question was somewhat off of his topic in regards to kit instructions. Ron-man asked for 3 specific sets of instructions. My question , asking if other modellers kept the instruction after the kits were completed, was the off-topic comment.
Dogsbody -
For the past 10 years or so I’ve always kept the instructions for every model I’ve built - I’ve got a hundred or so sets of instructions - but regrettably, I’ve not kept any of the ones that ron-man was looking for.
Sorry, bud.
