Help Re: Bergepanzer

I’m finishing the build on a Panzer Mk IV bergepanzer. (Tamiya pzkw IV ausf H, with parts from Verlinden and CMK) From what I have found, about 21 of these were built from mid 1944 through Nov. 1944. Based on that information, I assume that they would have been painted in dunkelgelb (dark yellow). However, I would like to know if anyone has information if any of these vehicles would have been given a camo scheme over the base paint.

I have no problem with dark yellow on its own. However, one of the nice things with German armor is tha wide variation of cam o schemes. Still, I don’t want to apply one if it wouldn’t be accurate. Any help and information would be appreciated.

Photos of this vehicle are rare.

I doubt you will find any others showing camouflage paint.

Thank you for the information and the photo. I’m going to go with the dark yellow overall and give it some respectable, but not overdone weathering. Once again, I appreciate your responding. Your information confirmed what I suspected. The photo you provided is great! Thanks again.
