Just as the post says, I’m getting ready to paint my 109 and the instructions are calling out for grey RLM 75 and all I have are Tamiya paints, not sure which one to use. I was thinking of using either med. grey or neutral grey, not sure. Also I"m assuming/hoping that their dark grey will work for RLM 74 , if not what color do I use for that also? Thanks
Unfortunately, there is no direct equivalent to RLM74 and RLM75 in the Tamiya range. For the 75, I mix Tamiya XF-54 and XF-51, comes pretty close. Can’t remember what I used for the 74. Here’s a link to an excellent reference color chart from IPMS Stockholm, HTH!
With a bit of cross-referencing (RLM>FS>Tamiya) I would say XF-54, RLM75 = FS26231 = XF-54. I would advise you use Mk1 eyball to verify this. You may notice that some cross-references will suggest FS36231, this is also correct, the 1st digit only denotes the finish, gloss matt…

Looks like Daywalker got there first (& knew more about it).
Thanks guys, greatly appreciated. I just made things easier for myself and went and got a bottle of Model Master Acryl RLM 75.[:D]
