Hello fellow modelers. I’m on the search for P-38 decals for any unit of the 8th AF. I have been searching, found decals, but cannot tell if they have what I am looking for or not on them. Scale is 1/48.
Can anyone help?
Did you see my post on the GB thread, there a couple of links there for decals
In the description of the decals you posted it says 1/72 not 1/48, or am I not seeing something?
Roll Models catalog lists 3 Aeromaster sheets with Forktail Devil in the title. I think I remember that as the nickname the Germans gave the Lightning. Squadron also shows them. As it was not a popular a/c in the 8th, they were eventually transferred to the 12th. The decals are for o.d./gray and metal a/c.

Marking for N2-K, 383rd FS, Honington. Hopefully that Droopsnoot should have the markings you need.
I may consider this option if I dont care for the decals that come with the kit. I’m not sure if the extra decals are for the droop snoot or for the fighter version becase the kit comes with parts for both but only the instructions for the droop snoot.
