Help!.....Buying a new Airbrush

[?] Hey men! I’m willing to buy a new airbrush (my second one after 12 years) I need some sugestions, I own about 20 scale models waiting for that awesome Airbrush.

Aztech is a nice one? Badger, Paasche. I dont trust ads, I trust users like you! Please Help!

I´ll use it for scale models and ilustrations, acrilyc and enamels.
I want the best money can get.
Thanks!

HEY,
I just got a Badger airbrush and it works great! When i asked that same question everybody said to check out badger and Paasche. Good luck.

My 2 cents worth…

I highly recommend Badger, great quality product and parts can be gotten everywhere. I would suggest the model 100, it is an internal mix, dual action. It can be used for fine work, pencil thin to about 1 1/2" for broad coverage.

I used to have the Aztec, had it for about 8 years, and finally got rid of it because it felt cheap and would go through a tip or two a year. I also had to send the body in for repair once, and although it has a lifetime warranty, I was still out of service for better than 6 weeks.

For what it is worth, I’ve been airbrushing for better than 25 years. Started with a Badger 350, another good airbrush.

I dont recomend Aztek, I like rossjr highly recomend Badger. My Aztek is a pain in the @$$ i swear. Im about to get rid of it and all the accessories. I waisted $150.00 on the damn thing and i hate it.

I will give you the same advice I always give on this forum when this question is asked.

I recommend one of the following four:

Thayer & Chandler Omni
Thayer & Chandler Vega
Badger Anthem
Iwata Eclipse

These are all comparible to each other in terms of spray pattern, weight, and balance. Badger now owns Thayer & Chandler by the way so all but the Iwata I listed are Badger airbrushes.

Some people also like the Paasche VL (I don’t) as well as the Badger Crescendo which is shaped like the VL which is why I don’t like it either.

There is NO “best” airbrush out there. It is all a matter of preference.
