Hello

Gday everyone, another noob!

im recently back into 1/35th ww2 afv’s, and loving it! Bought the 1/24th trumpeter stuka, amazing the type of kit I looked at 40 odd years ago, couldn’t resist.

anyway got a mate and his son into modeling, the son found this wooden wing, was his grandfathers toy, wants to know about it, maybe complete it, does anyone know what this is from.

the decal could be wrong, looks like a spitfire wing, but underside is flat and square not streamlined wing shape, could be part of tail??

otherwise restore and use as a base for a nice model!

thanks peeps, happy modelling

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you with us.

It would help if you could post a photo of the wing so we could figure out just what it is from.

Welcome to the forums. I could not see any pic with your post.

Welcome aboard. Look forward to seeing that Stuka.

Well Hi!

Welcome to the forums! As to the Wing, The picture didn’t go through.

Welcome to the forum! I look forward to seeing your build on that Stuka, too. It’s huge!

As for the wooden wing, you might want to post in the Airplane forum, for better visibility. It sounds like it’s from an old-school wooden kit. Before plastic became common after WW II, if you wanted a model, you carved wood. There were wooden-stick-and-tissue-paper flying models, too. Maybe someone there will know better.

Best regards,
Brad
