Hello

Hi

Just got into modelling and joined this forum a couple of weeks ago. I don’t want to be a lurker so figured I would introduce myself.

My name is Dave and I’m from the UK. I don’t have a particular subject matter that I am passionate about but have found that I enjoy the process of modelling and have so far completed four Airfix starter kits (3 cars and 1 plane). The first few came out ok’ish and I have learnt something new after each one that I have then applied to the next one. My fourth kit (a mini cooper wrc) is my best to date and I would be interested in getting some critique on it as it is by no means great but want to learn more. On that note, where do you post your completed builds for critique?

Looking forward to learning more.

Regards

Dave

Welcome to the Forum,Dave!

There are topical forums here for planes, ships, automotive, etc., so you’d get best results from posting in the place appropriate to the model.

Thanks, will do.

Welcome aboard. Good to have some more reinforcement from this side of the pond. Dive in and enjoy.

To post pics you will need a hosting sight, such as Photobucket. Once you have loaded the pics, you can go from there.

Welcome Dave,

Once you have a hosting site, I prefer Imageshack as there are way less adds and bothersome pop-ups IMHO, take a look at the technical assistance forums on how to post the pics. You can the start a new thread in the corresponding forum to post your build and get advise.

If you need any advice or assistance don’t hesitate to ask. There are several members who will love to help.

Welcome to the Forums Dave! Glad to have you aboard!

Thanks for the welcomes and advice on posting pics.

I am currently building a 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 1/12 scale so will post some pics in the appropriate forum of my WIP. They are nowhere near the standard of what I have seen while browsing here but it would be great to get critique so that I can learn more.

I have just posed my WIP on my 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 for anyone that is interested. All feedback and assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
