I’m a 45 year old kid who according to his lovely wife is slowly regressing back into his infancy.
I have built a number of kits along with RC planes. I am still heavily into RC semiscale gas planes. My latest project was a Unionville Hobbies 72" deHavilland DHC3 Otter. I haven’t mustered the guts to fly it yet. I have successfully rekitted several previous airplanes.
Years ago at a closeout sale I bought a bunch of plastic models, some truck models from some Italian company, the Cutty Sark and USS United States from Revell (1/96) and a Williams Bros Gee Bee R2 racer and a wooden ship model.
My last model was a Blohm und Voss 171.
I’m also into photography, woodworking, sailing (one design racing), cooking, home renovation and furniture re-upholstry.
Hi:
My current model is a RC Lockheed Sirius.
My current kit I guess would be the kit I bought of the Otter so I could get some scale details when I was building my RC plane. I only used it for details, but I never built it.
I also have a Screaming Mimi tank kit about 98% finished. My wife just finished a model of a 1937 Cord.
beware, this place is very addictive. you will spend many late nights reading and posting. you will find yourself thinking of this place when you are at work. you will refer to this as your second home.

I have always wanted to build a superdetailed large scale R/C model[:p]
The problem I have is after all that work will I end up crashing the palne and ending up a square zero[#oops]
Regardless, you will find a lot of support from these people for you and you wife[8D] What does she build[?]
