I’ve been building model airplanes for more than 60 years. Recently (?), I’ve taken a break (about 15-years worth from the world of plastics to try my hand at RC. Now, untold crashes later, I’m still in RC, but returning to my true love, 1/72 plastic models (with a smattering of 1/48 now that the eyes are growing weaker), WWII to the present. I hope it will be like riding a bicycle, once learned, never forgotten, but I suspect I’ll be seeking a lot of help from the community.

[#welcome] back. I am getting ready to build a 1/72 B24J. Maybe I can ask you a few questions to see what suggestions you might have or any help I can get from you and I will try and do the same for you.
Grahamskis,
I’ll be happy to help, but after being away from building plastics all these years, I suspect that technology may have passed me by. For example, resin has replaced vacu-form, photo-etched has replaced “bits of wire”. At the moment, I feel like someone walkiing very carefully past the “Danger, Thin Ice” sign on the pond. But, as I said, if I can be of any help, I certainly will.
