How is everyone? My name is Chris and I live in South Carolina. I spent my childhood building model cars and a few airplanes before discovering the opposite sex in the early 90s. Now that I am married (10 years on the 11th!!) with a 6 year old daughter I have re-discovered plastic modelling! I got into RC airplanes a few years back and one of my favorites was an F4U Corsair so I built a model of it.
I also recently started playing World of Tanks online and this piqued my interest in model tanks. So I picked up a Tamiya M26 Pershing and I have really enjoyed building it. I watch many videos on YouTube about weathering and other techniques. I cant wait to finish it so I can show it off!
Anyways, this looks like a great place to learn more tips and tricks! I’m looking forward to meeting more modellers and learning from the best of you!
Welcome to the forum, Chris! As a married guy and a father of a six year old little girl, I know exactly where you’re coming from. If you’re like me, you get a lot of your model building done between the hours of 10:30 at night and 3 in the morning. Ha-ha-ha!
You’ll learn a lot from this forum just as I and everone else here has. There’s no such thing as a silly question so ask away! Everyone helps everone here. I’ve been modeleing without let up since I was 8 years old (am 43 now) and I am STILL learning things from this forum.
Welcome Chris! Lots of folks here more than willing to pass on their tricks and tips, so jump on in and have fun! Remember to post pics of your builds. I’m starting to get into armor, so I’ll be interested in seeing some armor builds.
Hi There Chris. Welcome to the forums. I guarantee you are going to enjoy yourself here. I can honestly tell you that YouTube videos ain’t got nothing on what you’ll learn from the fantastic folks here.
Man you’ve got that right Joe! Welcome to the forum Chris! You’ve got yourself in a heck of a forum here bud. Good to have you and will be seeing you around, Joe (the other one!)
