Hello from SLP, MN

Hello!
My name is Jason, and I am returning to modeling after a 20-or-so year absecne. My first atempt at a project was a 1/35 scale Tamiya M2A2 Bradley, which did not go well (assembly was fine, but I did a great job botching the paint!) I decided to simplify, and am about to start a 1/48 scale Monogram Ju87 R-2 Stuka. Hopefully this one will go better! This will also be my first real attempt at weathering, so I am looking forward to that part of the process.
I mostly do aircraft, but I am interested in modeling armor and hopefully someday creating a diorama.
I anticipate using this site a lot as a resource and for “how to” tips and tricks.
I am hopeful that I will be able to report successful results at a later date!

Welcome to the forum and welcome back to the Hobby. I am assuming that SLP means Spring Lake Park or St. Louis Park. I live in the Anoka area and sure miss Nat’l Hobby Co., if your from Spring Lake Park, you might know who they were. Also University Hobbies…

Welcome and enjoy!
JR

Howdy,
Great to hear from another guy in the Twin Cities. I do aircraft too, and I’m a member of the Twin City Aero Historians. If you are interested in the local IPMS chapter. Go to: www.aerohistorians.org

As for the Monogram Stuka, it’s really the Hasegawa kit, just $10 cheaper.
I just finished one, and if you go to the website above and click on “On the Table”.
You can see mine in the Feb. theme.
Take care,
Bernie
